SEA USP -
XIV of the Participant's Application Week Aeronautical Engineering - EESC - USP
Aeronautical Engineering Week EESC-USP (SEA) is an academic event held annually at the São Carlos School of Engineering at São Paulo University. Through lectures, technical visits, round table format discussions and short courses, SEA aims to expose participants the main problems and challenges faced by research centers and aerospace companies.
Thus, renowned speakers in the national and international scenarios and large companies in the sector are always present at the event, thus contributing to the elevation of the level of debate practiced during the week.
However, we understand that they are also essential for the training of more qualified professionals in our society less technical factors, such as concern for the environment, the society in which we are inserted and even with our culture. Thus were created the projects “Sea Verde”, “Sea Social” and “Sea Cultural”.
The objective of the Sea Cultural project is to promote a night dedicated to some cultural activity during Aeronautical Engineering Week. In this way, participants have the opportunity to have a more relaxing night, and a cultural experience.
The objective of the Sea Social Project is to encourage participants of the Aeronautical Engineering Week to adopt solidarity attitudes and participate in social actions.
The objective of the Sea Verde project is to make the participants of the Aeronautical Engineering Week as to the importance of sustainable attitudes to maintain a healthy environment for ours and for the next generations.
Currently Sea is one of the most renowned engineering weeks in Brazil, a fact that is not only due to the organizers of the event, but also to their participants and sponsors, who have shown great support and interest in Sea. Because of this, we were able to get great achievements:
• Sponsorship of large aeronautical industries such as Airbus, Boeing, Embraer and SAAB;
• Lectures given by big names in the Brazilian aeronautical sector, such as Marcos Pontes, Ozires Silva and Joseph Kovacs;
• Presence of several foreign speakers, such as Diego Bernal and George Bibal.
